What To Expect With Dynamics 365 Commerce?!

What To Expect With Dynamics 365 Commerce?!

Summit News:

Just a few weeks ago the User Summit Group event was held, and everyone was wondering what Dynamics 365 Commerce will have in store for us.

Here are a few pointers of what we can expect to see from the new Dynamics 365 Commerce platform.

Dynamics 365 Fraud Protection: While it is not fully integrated yet, it is on the Commerce roadmap, Microsoft officials said.

  • Azure and Bing Search will be available both from the e-commerce experience and the POS

  • More analysis and reporting tools: Commerce will get clickstream analytics and centralized cross-channel reporting that includes e-commerce data.

  • A new POS interface: The "Modern POS" isn't so modern anymore, and Microsoft plans a refresh with updated styling, controls, and page layout options.

  • Experimentation and personalization: Users will be able to do A/B testing for content and product. They can also do segmentation against campaign analytics and campaign management.

  • Marketing integration: 365 Marketing application is a richer campaign management tool than what Commerce offers natively. An integration is coming that will allow Commerce customers to use the two applications together to handle transactional emails, marketing campaigns, and direct communications via clienteling apps in-store, embedded in the POS.

Purely CRM Christmas Lunch

Purely CRM Christmas Lunch

As our team grows bigger every year, we're excited to see what the new year brings us. 2018 has been a great year of growth, and it’s important that we take the team to appreciate our team. Here's a few photos of Purely's team at our Christmas lunch, celebrating the holidays.

This year's festive season donations

This year's festive season donations

It’s that time of year when we look back and reflect and realize how fortunate we are to have what we have; warm homes, plenty of food, our health and good friends, to mention just a few of the positive aspects of our lives. Sadly not everyone is as fortunate as we are. It is important that we take the time to appreciate what we have, and to give back when we can.

This year, on behalf of all of us, Purely CRM will be making a $700 donation to the following charities:

Ronald McDonald House Vancouver https://rmhbc.ca/

Covenant House Vancouver https://www.covenanthousebc.org/

Autism Community Training https://www.actcommunity.ca/

We wish everyone happy holidays and the best to everyone in the new year.

Purely CRM at Collaborate Canada 2018

It was a great turnout this year at Collaborate Canada 2018. It was good to see so many customers and Dynamics 365 partners working together on solutions for today’s business challenges. It was especially inspiring to see how Dynamics 365 is closing all of the gaps with new features and functionality, and tying it all together through one cloud platform. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Dynamics 365 for Outlook is blank: Solution

Dynamics 365 for Outlook is blank: Solution

A client recently reported that they can’t find any information under Dynamics 365 for Outlook. This issue only happened for them recently. Trying to uninstall and re-install Outlook for them, disconnecting and re-connecting to the Organization, and a lot other troubleshooting strategies that you can find online did not fix this issue.

We ended up opening a ticket with Microsoft Support. The fix is as listed:

Picture1.png

1. Go to Start on your Computer
2. Type regedit

3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software>Microsoft>Office>16.0>Outlook>Security

4. Under Security right click and then New>DWORD (32-bit) Value

Picture6.png

5. Name the folder EnableRoamingFolderHomepages
6. Right click on the folder and Modify
7. Change the Hexadecimal Value data to 2

Now, restart Outlook and wait for a minute. Then click on Dynamics 365 or CRM for Outlook tab on the left bottom corner and you will see all the information that is synced through your CRM.

Managing Your Project Reports

Managing Your Project Reports

Taking the proper steps to manage your project reporting

WHAT SHOULD BE MEASURED?

Measuring your project can mean more than simply measuring tasks against a timeline. You can also measure how well you are meeting project objectives, costs, scope changes, and risks.

Although each of the items mentioned are important in their own right, they may or may not make it in to your regular project reporting. Most companies will opt for a simple report showing budget, timeline, and risks.

SO, HOW BIG SHOULD THE REPORT BE?

For most projects, a one-page report is ideal. If someone wants further details, they can always drill further into other more detailed reports.

Toyota introduced their one-page project management report that everyone talks about. They called their report the A4 report. It was called the A4 report because it was produced on one piece of A4 paper. In North America, we would use a standard letter sized piece of paper (8.5” X 11”) in place of A4 paper.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRODUCE PROJECT REPORTS?

Of course, the size of your project would dictate how often your reports should be produced. For most software projects, a weekly report is the recommended standard. This provides resources enough time to get their weekly time-sheets in and using a Project Manager once a week to do this ties to the standard 20% utilization rate that is expected of them.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER?

The “estimate to complete” (ETC) number is most likely your most important number. You will want to take your “actual time spent” number, add your “estimate to complete” number, and arrive at your “estimate at completion” (EAC) number to see if you are going to trend over or under against the original budget (i.e., estimate).

Here is an example of that calculation:

Happy Reporting!

What A Party!

What A Party!

Great Turnout

It was amazing to see so many of our customers come out to the Purely CRM 2015 Holiday party this year.  We were honoured with the opportunity to see so many of our clients in a casual setting like we had.  We would like to thank each and every one of you who had the opportunity to come out and mingle with us.  Next year we will have to pick an even larger venue!

A Fabulous Year

We can not believe that another year has already past!  The time just flies when you spend the time doing what you love and have great, great customers.  We have been growing so fast that we have actually had to move offices twice this year because we have simply outgrown our old spaces.  Not only has our customer base grown, but our staff have grown enormously as well.  We all look forward to finishing up the year with a full head of steam and continuing to service our customers with what we love to do most: consult on customer relationship management software.

We Wish You All Happy Holidays!
